Where Can Americans Travel With or Without Test and Quarantine

usa-passport-blue-cover.jpg

The whole world is locking up and down once more. It seems we’re living in some sort of dystopian sci-fi movie. Yet still, in the midst of this storm, there are oases of freedom. Places and countries that decided to allow travelers. Their reasons may be many but in the end, we are grateful. A little sanity goes a long way.

Yes, even certain US states have their own travel restrictions with mandatory quarantine and the such. Hence we must learn about these countries’ rules put in place in order to accept American travelers. And not only US travelers but generally, other travelers as well. Since travel and entry requirements have been shuffled many a time, travelers must check and double-check with embassies and immigration officers – before purchasing the flight tickets. Though luckily some airlines sell their tickets with certain flexibility.

Now, even if these places are open and allow business travelers, tourists, or both categories, we must remember that some require a virus PCR test and even quarantine time. This is a high price to pay, yet it may be acceptable. But do your homework before heading out. And certainly, inform yourself about what this means exactly.

Additionally, getting from one place to another requires a layover in some cases. That is especially true in recent times with airlines cutting or canceling a high number of flights. With certain states blocking travel those flight segments are out of service. Implicitly US travelers need to take longer and more expensive flights, if available, or otherwise cancel their traveling plans.

Note

It is mostly the **Caribbean** and **American** countries that allow travel for US citizens.
